Up until six years ago, we lived in suburbia and have always had the usual array of pets eg; dogs, a cat, gold fish and a few birds. Our dream was always to buy a property in the country. We have found our little piece of heaven in Sheoaks Victoria, we have 15 acres of part bush, part cleared land.
We now have a small flock of sheep. We started with some coloured polworths then other breeds all crossed with merino or pure merino.We feed a specially produced grain that has every imaginable vitamin and mineral added. They are also fed good quality hay. We crutch in the middle of the year and shear in november.All of the sheep are coated to protect their fleece from debri and sun damage.We have erected shelters so that the sheep can escape the elements.The wool leaves the property to be cleaned and is professionally spun into 50-gram balls for the convienience of the consumer.
We produce the most beautiful wool in natural colours. We do not use dyes and the wool is so soft you can wear it against your skin We are very proud of the wool we produce. A happy contented animal will produce the best results as my wool will prove. Why should you choose naturally coloured wool?
